What started as a small effort to connect sober professionals in the outdoor industry has grown into a thriving community built on connection, adventure, and recovery.
Sober Outdoors exists to create inclusive spaces where people can explore the outdoors, build meaningful relationships, and stay grounded in their sobriety.
AT SOBER OUTDOORS, we are a collective of individuals in recovery from substance use disorder, those curious about the path to recovery, and their steadfast allies. Our team is a diverse group of professionals from the treatment community, experts in the outdoor industry, dedicated volunteers, ambassadors, and others—all united by a common purpose: to help sober and sober-curious individuals heal their mind, body, and soul through outdoor adventures.
WE BELIEVE in the transformative power of nature and the strength of community. By bringing people together in the backcountry, we aim to inspire personal growth, foster meaningful connections, and celebrate the journey of sobriety one adventure at a time.

THROUGH a variety of resources, local events, and tailored adventures, we make the beauty of nature accessible to people of all interests and skill levels. Our team of professionals and volunteers works collaboratively to ensure that each experience is supportive, enriching, and empowering.
AS A 501(C)(3) Nonprofit, organization, all profits generated go directly toward funding treatment for substance use disorder and addiction. This helps alleviate the financial burden of traditionally expensive care and expands access to recovery resources on a national level for our Community Members.
