WHO IT'S FOR

This one is for anyone in recovery or sober-curious who wants a full summer day without the pressure of bar culture or substance-soaked social scenes! Water World is pure, unfiltered fun and our crew makes it even better! Whether you are brand new in your sobriety or celebrating years in recovery, this event is for you. No experience required. Just show up and play!

Perfect for: Denver-area sober community members, people exploring alcohol-free activities in Colorado, solo adventurers looking for connection, families in recovery, and anyone who just wants a genuinely epic summer day doing fun things sober in Colorado!

WHAT TO BRING

Swimsuit: Bring one (or two if you want a backup). Board shorts are great too!

Sunscreen:Bring a full bottle and apply before you arrive. Reapply throughout the day. No shade at water parks! SPF 50+ recommended.

Water: Reusable water bottle. The park is cashless for food and drinks, and fountain drinks are easy to grab inside. Staying hydrated is key in the Colorado summer heat.

Food / Cooler: You CAN bring a cooler into the park (size restrictions apply: max 24” x 17” x 17”). No glass or outside alcohol permitted. A packed lunch and snacks will save you money. Food is also available for purchase inside.

Towel: At least one. More is better.

Footwear: Water shoes or sandals for walking between attractions. Paved surfaces get very hot in the July afternoon sun.

Cash / Card: The park is primarily cashless. Bring a card or load Splash Cash at the entrance. Budget $15 to $25 if you plan to buy food inside.

Sun Hat: Optional but highly recommended for a long park day. Shade is limited and July sun hits hard.

Waterproof Phone Case: Optional but great for photos on the rides.

ID: Required if you are purchasing any food or drinks inside the park.

Items NOT allowed in the park: glass containers, outside alcohol, marijuana in any form, personal tents, personal flotation devices (free life jackets available at the park), snorkels, and weapons of any kind.

CARPOOLING

Carpooling is encouraged for this one! If you can drive, thank you — it helps the whole crew!

SCHOLARSHIP INFO

At Sober Outdoors, we believe access to community and the outdoors should never be limited by financial barriers. Our scholarship program exists to ensure that anyone who wants to attend an event can do so, regardless of current financial circumstances.

Scholarships help cover event fees, premium experiences, and in some cases gear support. These funds are made possible by community donations and partners who believe in expanding access to substance-free spaces.

If cost is a barrier, you can request scholarship consideration during registration or by reaching out through the contact button below. Applications are simple, confidential, and reviewed with care. We do not require lengthy explanations — just honest communication.

If you are in a position to give, your donation directly supports someone else's access to recovery-forward community and outdoor experiences. When you contribute, you are helping build a more inclusive sober ecosystem.

Access matters. Community should not be a luxury.

LIABILITY WAIVER

Sober Outdoors events take place in outdoor environments that carry inherent risks, including uneven terrain, changing weather, wildlife exposure, and physical exertion. To ensure transparency and shared responsibility, all participants are required to review and agree to our liability waiver prior to attending events.

The waiver outlines the nature of outdoor risks, participant responsibilities, and safety expectations. It also confirms that participants are attending voluntarily and understand that Sober Outdoors is a community-driven nonprofit organization facilitating substance-free experiences.

Completing the waiver is required before participating in any event. You will receive instructions during registration or in your confirmation email. If you have questions about the waiver, safety practices, or expectations, please contact us directly through the button below.

Our goal is to create experiences that are welcoming, well-organized, and responsibly led. Clear agreements help protect the community and allow us to continue hosting safe, sustainable events.
