An intimate, private winter experience in the San Juan Mountains!

 

We are beyond excited to open interest for a very limited, private Sober Outdoors dogsledding adventure in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This experience is designed to be intentional, grounding, and unforgettable — a chance to slow down, connect, and experience winter in a truly special way!

This event will be hosted in partnership with San Juan Sled Dogs, whose team has been guiding world-class dogsledding experiences in the San Juan Mountains for years. This will be a private**** Sober Outdoors experience, created exclusively for our community!

Space is extremely limited. At this time, we are !opening pre-registration only to gauge interest and confirm final group size!


What to Expect:

  • A guided dogsledding adventure through snowy mountain terrain!

  • Professional guides and well-cared-for sled dogs!

  • A small, intimate group focused on safety and connection!

  • A Sober Outdoors trip leader present for support and cohesion!

  • Hot chocolate and light snacks provided before the adventure!

  • A memorable, substance-free winter experience!


Day-of Timeline:

It’s an early morning but a bucket list kind of day so let’s do this!

  • 6:40 AM: Meet at the T-Rex Parking Lots in Golden, Colorado

  • 7:00 AM: Sharp! And we mean SHARP!

  • 12:00 PM: Arrive at dog sledding venue, check in, have a quick lunch

  • 12:30 PM: Dog sledding experience begins

  • 3:00 PM: Dog sledding experience ends

  • 3:30 PM: Optional late lunch to celebrate the day, our recoveries, and our new friendships/crew OR head back to Denver

Who This Event Is For:

  • People in recovery or exploring sobriety!

  • Sober Outdoors community members and supporters/allies!

  • Anyone seeking meaningful connection through outdoor adventure!

  • All experience levels welcome!

Please note:

  • Participants must be 18 years or older

  • No children or pets are allowed on this experience (dogs included, unfortunately)


Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026

  • Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado

  • Group Size: 10

  • Cost: $250 per person (possibly less - currently discussing with the venue)

  • What’s Included:

    • Guided dogsledding experience

    • Snacks and hot chocolate

    • Sober Outdoors trip leadership

    • Thank You Gift from Sober Outdoors

  • What’s Not Included:

    • Transportation to Pagosa Springs (carpooling is available!)

    • Lodging if you decide to make this an “overnighter” (hot springs anyone?)

    • Meals outside of provided snacks and hot coco

Transportation & Carpooling:

Carpooling is strongly encouraged!

  • If you need a ride, carpool spots are available for $8

  • Drivers are encouraged to sign up and help make this event accessible. We’ll pay for your gas!

  • Carpool coordination details will be shared closer to the event date

Scholarships Available:

We never want cost to be a barrier.

  • Partial scholarships are available

  • If you need support, please reach out after pre-registration

  • All scholarship requests are confidential and judgment-free


Important Registration Information (Please Read):

This is currently a pre-registration only event (required)!

  • No payment is required today. The final amount will be processed on 1.19.26

  • Pre-registration helps us confirm interest and secure the experience

  • On January 19, 2026, participants who have pre-registered will be contacted and charged the full event cost of $250

  • Spots will be offered in the order pre-registration forms are received

  • Completing the pre-registration form does not guarantee a spot, but it is required to be considered

  • Even if the event is “sold out” online, still register because there’s a good chance we’ll still be able to accommodate you!

Please note, we are currently working with our adventure partner to secure an official date and price for this event. Please be patient with us as we finalize the date and price! We will update you as soon as possible and certainly on or before 1.19.26!

Cancellation policy:

If you are not serious about joining this event or cannot make it, please cancel your registration before 1/19/26 as we’ll have folks on the waitlist and we’d like to allow them, in a timely manner, the opportunity to get officially registered and paid up for this adventure.

Non-refundable after 1/19/26 as we have to pre-pay for this adventure and cannot get a refund from our adventure partners.

Also, donations are not refundable. Thank you for understanding and for your contribution to our cause!
